1. How can I register for the Award?

   Official registration will be online via Website.

2. Who can join the The Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award?

   Open to all UAE residents between the ages of 18 – 30 years.

3. What kind of artworks I may submit?
   

   Fine Art Category:	Acrylic, Oil, Water Color, Pastel, Ink, Charcoal, Sculpture, Ceramics, Glass, Print Making, Etching, Mixed media, Gouache or Casein.
   Photography Category:	Black & white / colored photographs captured by the artist with slight digital modification and printed on flat surfaces including canvas, silk or acrylic sheets.
   Multimedia Category:	Digital art, Video art or Installation
   Design Category:	Product design
   Architecture Category:	Digital rendering which includes perspective views Ground floor plan and elevation Architectural model measuring 30cm x 42cm.

4. How many artworks may I submit?

   Only one (1) artwork per artist per category may be entered.

5. May I enter artworks done by 2 or more artists:
   

   Group / Collaborative artwork may be submitted.

6. If I already won an award from the previous years, may I still enter the Award?
   

   Previous winners are eligible to participate provided the category is different from their winning category.

7. What is the subject matter of the artworks I may submit?
   • There is no restriction on subject matter. Freedom of choice is granted and good judgment must be used in the determination of the work's subject matter and appearance.
   • You should be culturally sensitive and adhere to the sensibilities of the region.
   • Any Art Work which is considered, to be offensive, culturally sensitive, provocative, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or of inappropriate content, will be not be eligible for the Award Competition.
   • The decision in this matter rests solely with Young Artist Award.
8. What are the size limitations of the artworks?
   • Maximum size of artwork to be hung must not exceed 180 cm length and 150 cm height including Diptych and triptychs.
   • Serial work must not exceed 200 cm x 200 cm
   • Installation base must not exceed 150 cm x 150 cm with a maximum height of 250 cm.
   • Video art submission must be in MP4 or MOV format.
9. What are the criteria for judging the artwork?
   • Concept
   • Composition
   • Technical excellence
   • Application
10. For Architecture Submissions- Applicants will upload the following: (aside from the standards uploaded documents) Kindly add upload boxes
    • Structural Design/ Concept(PDF)
    • 250 word project description (MS Word/PDF)
    • Digital rendering which includes perspective views
    • Ground floor plan and elevation
    • Architectural model measuring 30cm x 42cm (jpeg)
